Almond Board of California Conference highlights
Lou Martin ABA Marketing Officer
The 50th Annual California Almond Conference highlighted the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry in 2022 . While some of the industry ’ s challenges are external - water shortages , supply chain issues , increases in input costs , inflation - some are self-imposed , namely an imbalance in domestic supply and demand . The Almond Board of California have commissioned a series of initiatives to boost demand , including media and digital advertising campaigns , leveraging influencer partnerships to educate consumers within the e-commerce and gaming world and the sponsorship of events such as Italy ’ s Music Festival San Marino . In addition to the various sessions , the threeday conference also featured a trade show . This offered an opportunity for people to learn about the different innovations and programs certain agricultural organisations are doing in California and around the globe . As an industry group , we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to capitalising on the many learnings that were taken away .
Leveraging influencer partnerships was one of the topics at the California Almond Conference .
