• Has been aware of “reduce, recycle” concept since very small from
school (liberal studies)
• Teachers are very devoted to promote eco-friendly concept and
put it into practices
(e.g. running food waste machine)
• Friends are very conscious as well– they always sharing news
about latest eco-friendly products with each other
• Well aware of new garbage bin and recycling bins
• Knows the latest government policies and regulations on garbage
handling and recycling
• Learns from school & TV ads (read quite a lot as there are examinations
on environmental topics)
ACTION
Garbage disposal
• She uses the street garbage bins 2-3 times a week usually for ice
cream packaging and cups from bubble tea.
Recycling
• For the cups, her priority is actually taking them back to school
or home, wash them and dispose at recycling bins. However,
sometimes, she is too far from either home or school
THINKING & FEELING
• Inspired by action from her classmates and teachers, bringing
their own cutlery, straws and food container to McDonald’s
• She wants to be cool among her friends and classmates by being
“green”
• Garbage bins on streets are always full
• Dislike smell of cigarettes
