do it, and I have less intention to buy
plastic bottles and tissue”
KNOWLEDGE
• Has habit of recycling only in UK when everyone does, when
there are lots recycling bins in school
• Passive role – they don’t give me plastic, I won’t ask, but if they
give me I won’t say no”
• Not aware that there’s new garbage news
• Not aware of the related news and policy, but he knows the color
for recycling as that was learnt since small
ACTION
Waste disposal
• Usually carries and throws garbages when he sees a bin
• 2 key garbage types are plastic bottles and tissue
• Sometimes they are so full, he will throw into plastic bags aside
Recycling
• Only recycled a bottle once in HK
In UK:
• Friends group rubbish into categories intuitively in dorm
(no recycling bins), he follows and separates rubbish
• Go into coffee shop instead of getting plastic bottled drinks
THINKING AND FEELING
Garbage Bin
• Smell of ash makes me feel bad
• Don’t like the cover design that needs me to push, feel like
throwing rubbish should be throwing into a hole
