Bio
Sabrina Ehmke, DNP, RNC-OB, NPD-BC, PHN, is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she teaches courses in population-focused care, interprofessional practice, public health, and global health. She serves as the faculty advisor for the Mankato Student Nurses’ Association, fostering student leadership, service, professional development, and collaborative partnerships that strengthen the future healthcare workforce through meaningful experiential learning opportunities. Dr. Ehmke also serves as Chair of the Minnesota Summer Nursing Internship Consortium, leading statewide collaboration among academic institutions and healthcare organizations to align internship experiences, standardize resources, and enhance clinical learning opportunities for nursing students across Minnesota. Her scholarship focuses on health equity, healthy aging, family-centered care, interprofessional education, and community-engaged learning, with an emphasis on developing innovative educational models that improve health outcomes for diverse populations. Through partnerships with healthcare systems, community organizations, and international collaborators, she is committed to preparing compassionate, practice-ready nurses who are equipped to address the evolving needs of individuals, families, and communities.
Lauren Olson is a senior nursing student from Lakeville, Minnesota, attending Minnesota State University, Mankato. She currently serves as President of the Mankato Student Nurses ' Association at Minnesota State University and served on the Minnesota Student Nurses ' Association Board of Directors as Communications Director. Lauren is completing her senior internship in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit( PICU) at Children ' s Masonic Hospital, where she has developed a passion for pediatric critical care nursing. Following graduation, she hopes to pursue a future in pediatric critical care nursing.
Faisa Yusuf, BSN, RN, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she had the privilege of serving as President of the Student Nurses Association chapter. She is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care, serving her community, and pursuing lifelong learning to continually grow as a nurse. Faisa currently works as a Registered Nurse on the Cardiac Intermediate Care( IMC) unit at Allina Health, where she strives to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients and their families every day.
