Welcome to 2026! I hope your year is off to a great start. I’ m excited to see what this new year has in store for us all. As the 74th Annual Convention approaches, my term as NSNA Vice President and the Membership Committee Chair is sadly coming to an end. However, that is even more motivation to make this spring semester and convention the best one yet! On behalf of NSNA, thank you for your continued support. We hope you ' ll stay involved in our community of nursing students in 2026 and beyond.
Project InTouch
There is one group that deserves a special thank you for their dedication to getting students involved in NSNA. Thank you to our Project InTouch( PIT) Recruiters, you all are amazing! The PIT 2025-2026 contest ends February 11, 2026— keep recruiting to earn more PIT prizes. Recognition AWARDS
There are numerous awards that NSNA offers to celebrate all the hard work members put in at the school and state level. Make sure to visit the NSNA awards website at www. nsnaawards. weebly. com to apply for the various awards available.
The deadline for the following program awards is February 20, 2026: Core Values, Ethics and Governance, Health Policy and Advocacy, Population and Global Health, Empowering Resolutions, Breakthrough to Nursing, BTN – Dr. Kenya Williams Empowerment, Image of Nursing, Disaster Preparedness, International Photo Contest, State Convention Planning, Newsletter, Website, Social Media, Ambassador, and the Robert V. Piemonte Financial Excellence awards and The DAISY Award.
The deadline for the Weingarten Leader of Leaders award nominations is February 11, 2026. This award is sponsored by Michael S. and Carol Toussie Weingarten, and is presented to an outstanding dean, faculty advisor, or state consultant who demonstrates distinguished support and service to nursing students.
Constituency
All school and state chapters must apply for constituency status every year. To qualify, school chapters must have a minimum of 10 members on the NSNA roster; state chapters must have a minimum of 2 constituent schools. These requirements must be met by the cutoff date of February 11, 2026. The Official NSNA Constituency Application must be submitted online annually by April 24, 2026. Make sure to visit the Delegate Resources to get the most up-to-date information about the 2026 House of Delegates.
