Paving the Way with NSNA
Welcome to 2025 ! I hope your year is off to a great start . I ’ m excited to see what this new year has in store for us all . The year 2024 brought us great moments , but it is now time to create even better moments . As the 73rd Annual Convention approaches , my term as NSNA Vice President and the Membership Committee Chair is sadly coming to an end . However , that is even more motivation to make this spring semester and convention the best one yet ! On behalf of NSNA , thank you for your continued support . We hope you ’ ll stay involved in our community of nursing students in 2025 and beyond .

There is one group that deserves some extra recognition and a special thank you for their passion and dedication to getting students involved and connected to NSNA . If you didn ’ t know , there are numerous awards that NSNA offers to celebrate all the hard work members put in at the school and state level . The deadline for the Weingarten Leader of Leaders award nominations is February 12 , 2025 . This award is sponsored by Michael S . and Carol Toussie Weingarten , and is presented
to an outstanding dean , faculty advisor , or state consultant who demonstrates distinguished support and service to nursing students . The deadline for the following program awards is February 25 , 2025 : Core Values , Ethics and Governance , Health Policy and Advocacy , Population and Global Health , Empowering Resolutions , Breakthrough to Nursing , BTN – Dr . Kenya Williams Empowerment , Image of Nursing , Disaster Preparedness , International Photo Contest , State Convention Planning , Newsletter , Website , Social Media , Ambassador , and the Robert V . Piemonte Financial Excellence awards and NEW The DAISY Award .
Deadline for Constituency
All school and state chapters must apply for constituency status every year . To qualify , school chapters must have a minimum of 10 members on the NSNA roster ; state chapters must have a minimum of two constituent schools . These requirements must be met by the cutoff date of February 12 , 2025 . The Official NSNA Constituency Application must be completed and submitted online annually prior to the Annual Convention . Make sure to visit the Delegate Resources to get the most up-to-date information about the 2025 House of Delegates .
