Infusion Nurse
There are over 100,000 registered infusion nurses in the United States . Infusion nurses , also known as IV nurses , are medical professionals who specialize in administering intravenous fluids , vitamins , or medicine . They perform a variety of tasks , including :
• Inserting IVs , catheters , and other types of lines
• Monitoring patients ’ vital signs during treatment
• Adjusting medication as needed
n Minimum required : RN , LPN , ASN / ADN , BSN ; Preferred : BSN , MSN , MBA , PhD , EdD , DNP n Certified Registered Nurse Infusion exam n 1,600 hours in related field over two years n CRNI

Labor and Delivery Nurse
