Robert Rosseter , MBA , MS , FAAN , has more than 23 years of service to the academic nursing community . He is the Chief Communications Officer for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing ( AACN ), in
Washington , DC . In this role , he directs all communication and outreach functions for this national association and oversees several program areas , including information curation , student services , publications , corporate partnerships , and special projects . Previously , Mr . Rosseter directed all marketing and communication activities for the University of Virginia ’ s satellite campus in Northern Virginia . Over the course of his career , he taught graduate business courses online for the University of Virginia for more than 10 years , served on the editorial advisory board for Johns Hopkins Nursing Magazine , and has co-authored more than a dozen articles for leading nursing journals and a chapter in the textbook Teaching Nursing : The Art and Science . He earned both an MBA and a Master of Science in Management degree from the University of Maryland . He also earned a BA degree in Journalism with a Psychology minor from The George Washington University . In 2023 , Mr . Rosseter was named an Honorary Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing .
