Public health nurses ( PHN ) care for entire populations rather than one patient at a time . PHNs work with whole communities to : educate people about health issues , improve community health and safety and increase access to care ; monitor health trends and identify health risk factors unique to specific communities ; set local priorities for health-related interventions ; advocate with authorities to improve access to health services for underserved communities ; and much more . Radiology and Imaging Nursing
Caring along a full continuum of care from the outpatient , inpatient , critical care , trauma , radiology nurses can be found in all imaging environments such as X-Ray , CT , Nuclear Medicine , PET-CT , Interventional , Mammography , MRI for diagnostics , interventions , curative treatments and symptom management . Patients undergoing imaging exams or interventional procedures require highly skilled nursing care . Radiology nurses can be found at the forefront of trauma and stroke treatment . Their role is critical for heart , vascular , neurological and oncology care .
