RECOMMENDA- TION : Long-term Follow-up will Enhance Aspirations in Advanced Nursing Roles
To improve the effectiveness of career presentations in influencing undergraduate nursing students ’ knowledge and aspirations in advanced nursing roles , it is recommended that longterm follow-up and collaborate with faculty be implemented to ensure that all undergraduate nursing students receive this information . Implementing longterm follow-up at six months and one year can evaluate the sustained impact of the career presentation on participants ’ knowledge retention and career aspirations . Collaboration with faculty members can increase students ’ aspirations for nursing careers and combat the nursing shortage crisis .
Conclusion : Implications for Nursing Education and Future Research
This study highlights the potential of targeted interventions , such as career presentations , in addressing knowledge gaps and shaping the perception of nursing students . The presentation positively affected nursing students ’ understanding of advanced roles and the value of higher education . This highlights the need to incorporate similar strategies in nursing programs . Additionally , the experiment highlights the importance of continuous research to investigate the long-term effects of such interventions and their sustained impact on students ’ career decisions . Additional investigation into the specific elements of care presentation that are most impactful could further enhance the precision of educational intervention to motivate nursing students to pursue a career in advanced nursing or as nursing faculty .
In conclusion , this experiment provides compelling evidence that career presentation can have a significant and positive impact on undergraduate nursing students ’ knowledge and aspirations . By effectively increasing students ’ understanding of advanced nursing roles and emphasizing the importance of higher education and the need for nursing faculty , such interventions have the potential to shape a more informed , motivated , and resilient nursing workforce .
