EDITORIAL

Dear Imprint readers ,
It has been my absolute privilege to serve as Imprint Editor over the past year . I have loved meeting and interacting with so many of you through this wonderful magazine , webinars , and meetings . I am beyond grateful to have been given this incredible opportunity and I am excited to see where my journey as a new graduate nurse takes me .
NSNA has made an unbelievable imprint on my life , from being an NSNA member to serving on a national level . If you let it , NSNA can change your nursing school experience and even your future trajectory in nursing . Over this past year , I have found a love and a passion for working with nursing organizations and creating a variety of content . I have learned just how vast the world of nursing is and how important it is to advocate for change when you see a need . I will forever remember the impact this wonderful organization has had on the beginning of my career as a registered nurse . NSNA truly prepares you to create the life of your dreams !
I hope that you all had an amazing time at the NSNA Annual Convention this year , “ Elevate : Dreams Help Make the Impossible Possible .” If you were not able to come to this year ’ s Convention , I hope to see you at the MidYear Conference or Annual Convention this upcoming year ! Conventions are a wonderful space to meet so many incredible people and learn so much that will benefit your future career as a registered nurse . From test-taking strategies to learning about a variety of specialties , NSNA conventions have something for every nursing student . Some of my greatest memories as a NSNA member are attending these phenomenal conventions each year . Make sure to check out page 10 for a recap of our Annual Convention !
Nursing is such an incredible profession and I am excited that you have each chosen to take on the challenge of nursing school . I know it may take hard work and determination , but you will not regret all the long nights of studying . It will all be worth it once you walk across that stage and officially pass your NCLEX to become a registered nurse ! Many of you are about to officially end your nursing school journey as you embark on a new journey starting your career . Starting as a new graduate nurse can be frightening — make sure to check out our tips for new graduate nurses on page 30 . “ Embrace Your Potential ” as you start a successful career in nursing . Turn to page 33 to learn more about combating imposter syndrome as a new graduate nurse .
To the class of 2024 , as we begin a new journey as registered nurses , I want you to remember to never lose your passion and always remember why you started . Remember to have faith in people and more importantly always have faith in yourself . As you look back on your days in nursing school , I hope you think of laughter-filled memories , perseverance and dedication through the hard days , and your passionate spirit . Congratulations class of 2024 — we did it !
Congratulations to the new Imprint Editor ! I encourage you to lead with passion and a commitment to achieve greatness for our membership . I know that you will do amazing things this year and I cannot wait to watch you
