Radiology and Imaging Nursing Caring along a full continuum of care from the outpatient , inpatient , critical care , trauma , radiology nurses can be found in all imaging environments such as X-Ray , CT , Nuclear Medicine , PET-CT , Interventional , Mammography , MRI for diagnostics , interventions , curative treatments and symptom management . Patients undergoing imaging exams or interventional procedures require highly skilled nursing care . Radiology nurses can be found at the forefront of trauma and stroke treatment . Their role is critical for heart , vascular , neurological and oncology care .
• RN ( BSN preferred )
• Certified Radiology Nurse examination
• 2,000 hours ( during prior 3 years ) in radiology nursing ; 30 hours of continuing education ( during prior 2 years ), of which 15 hours must be related to radiology nursing

• Hospitals , ambulatory care , out-patient surgery centers , community health settings

Rehabilitation Nurse Rehabilitation nurses work with patients and their families soon after the onset of a disabling injury or chronic illness . They help patients adapt to their disabilities , and work toward productive , independent lives . They take a holistic approach to meeting patients ’ medical , vocational , educational , environmental , and spiritual needs . They continue to provide support in the form of patient and family education and empower individuals as they continue to live life independently again . The rehabilitation nurse often teaches patients and their caregivers how to access systems and resources .

• 2 years in rehabilitation nursing ( or 1 year , with another year of advanced study )

• Continuing Care ( i . e ., long-term and assisted living centers ), home healthcare variety of settings , including IRFs , SNFs , LTC , LTAC , Case Management , Hospitals ( acute care settings ), military service , community health settings , across all post acute care settings
