American Red Cross Disaster Certification for Students and Faculty Thursday , April 13 , 2023 , 2:00pm – 3:30pm / Saturday , April 15 , 2023 , 1:30pm – 3:30pm NSNA collaborates with the American Red Cross ( ARC ) to offer nursing students and nursing faculty certification in the ARC , “ Disaster Health and Sheltering ,” course . Participants gain knowledge and skills to volunteer at disaster shelters in their communities and receive a certificate after completion of the course and evaluation . Convention registration is required , but there is no additional fee for this program . Information on how to pre-register will be sent to all those who register for the convention . Enrollment is limited to 150 participants per session . All participants are required to complete modules online prior to attending this program at Convention .
