Your Voice Matters : Become a Climate for Health Ambassador
Americans are growing more concerned about climate change . As they witness and experience impacts to their health , livelihoods , and communities , they are increasingly looking for guidance on solutions , from leaders in their daily lives – health leaders like you .
That is why the National Student Nurses ’ Association has partnered with ecoAmerica and the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments to offer the Climate for Health Ambassadors Program . This training will equip you with the knowledge , hands-on experience , and resources to speak and act confidently on climate change .
Upon completion of the training , participants are invited to become a Climate for Health Ambassador . The benefits of becoming an Ambassador include access to tools , tailored resources and events to act and advocate for climate solutions , a private online community of Ambassadors from across the nation who are passionate about being a voice for climate solutions , and on-going staff support .
Once trained , Climate for Health will coordinate with partner organizations to support the Ambassadors and provide opportunities to act . With this training , and a cohort of like-minded leaders , health professionals will be empowered to engage their colleagues , associations , the public , and policymakers to inspire climate solutions that help protect the health of our families and communities , and ensure a prosperous , just , and secure future .

The on-demand course qualifies for 3 CME or Nursing CE category 1 credits . You will have 6 weeks to complete the on-demand training and sign up as a Climate Ambassador . During this time you will receive reminders from us to check-in on your progress .

Join us in-person in November : In addition to the online , on-demand training , ecoAmerica will be joining the National Student Nurses ’ Association MidYear Conference : November 10-13 in Virginia Beach ! The in-person training is an exciting opportunity to engage with peers passionate about climate change , its health impacts , and how nurses can lead on climate solutions .
