ICN Congress and ICN Nursing Student Assembly The International Council of Nurses and the Canadian Nurses Association invite you to attend the ICN Congress , July 1-5 , 2023 , in Montreal , Canada !
Held every two years , the International Council of Nurses Congresses bring together the world ’ s nurses and related disciplines to share best practice , research and knowledge . The Congress provides a regular opportunity for nurses to build relationships and to disseminate nursing and health-related knowledge .
With the theme “ Nurses together : a force for global health ,” and in partnership with the Canadian Nurses Association , the ICN 2023 Congress will be a global hub of nursing and other health leaders , bringing together national nurses associations , global health leaders , expert speakers , clinicians , students and academics .
ICN Nursing Student Assembly The ICN Nursing Student Assembly is the main event for student nurses .
This one-day meeting provides students the opportunity to connect , explore and collaborate on priority issues selected by students themselves .
The Student Assembly will take place on June 30 , 2023 and will be conveniently located on-site at the Palais de Congrès in Montreal , Canada .

Attention NSNA State Association Leaders :
During the past few years , have you been struggling to fill your board positions ?
You are encouraged to keep a minimum of an executive committee : president , vice president , secretary , and treasurer . Check your bylaws to determine if there is a bylaw that permits the executive committee to make decisions when a full board is unable to meet or if the decisions cannot wait until a full board meeting . If there is nothing specific , and your bylaws direct you to refer to Robert ’ s Rules of Order for guidance , then you can use the guidance of Robert ’ s . This gives you the ability to keep your bank account in place , file tax forms ( i . e ., IRS form 990 ), and remain a constituent of NSNA ( and thus collect dues ). This is a temporary method of maintaining the association during this time of crisis . NSNA staff will assist you in communicating with your members and guidance in holding elections .
