Transplant Nurse Transplant Nurses help patients donate and receive organs . They prepare living donors ( and their families ) for transplant procedures . Transplant Nurses also care for patients who receive organs from deceased donors . Transplant Nurses assist the medical team during surgery and work in post-operative care , monitoring patients for complications like organ rejection .
