Infusion Nurse An infusion nurse ’ s responsibilities include placing peripheral and central IV catheters for administration of medications / solutions ; monitor patient for signs of complications from the infusion or the IV device ; and provide care and management of IV devices . Infusion therapy is delivered in all practice settings , from hospital to home , and in all patient populations from the neonate to older adult . Skilled , competent infusion nurses will be vital in providing safe infusion patient care .

Labor and Delivery Nurse On the front lines of bringing new people into the world , these nurses care for mothers and their babies through the labor process and childbirth .
