Hello everyone ! I am so excited and honored to serve you as your 2021-2022 NSNA President . Thank you all for allowing me the opportunity to serve again on the NSNA Board of Directors . A little bit about me — I served as the NSNA Vice President for the term of 2020-2021 . I am a junior at the Pennsylvania State University College of Nursing and serve as the Vice President of our local SNA .
This year I am looking forward to collaborating with board members , staff , and fellow nursing students on furthering equity and equality in healthcare for all . This is a major task and will be addressed using workshops , webinars , and sessions at our conferences ! I have faith in the future of healthcare and through education and a diligent work ethic , we can push our healthcare system one step closer to equity and equality for all .
I have had the privilege to participate in ANA ’ s 9 th Annual Membership Assembly which was held virtually in June . I was able to participate in several workshops that bolstered my leadership skills and gave me many new ideas to incorporate into my presidency . In September , I attended NLN ’ s Education Summit live in Washington , D . C ., where NSNA exhibited . I met so many great nurse educators and attended many incredible sessions . Additionally , I will be attending the Nursing Organizations Alliance Fall Summit in my hometown of Virginia Beach in November . I will be sure to share all my experience and newfound knowledge .
This year is going to be filled with workshops and webinars to help you not just pass your NCLEX , but become a more well-rounded and culturally competent nurse . We are excited about launching the new NSNA Leadership University Honor Society and incorporating the formation of Professional Identity in Nursing into all of our programs and activities . Everyone at NSNA is rooting for your success in the future profession and imploring you to be a leader in the field of nursing . I hope to see everyone virtually at the NSNA 39

Hello everyone ! I am very honored and excited to be serving as the 2021-2022 NSNA Vice President . I am currently a senior at Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing . After graduation , I plan to start a nonprofit , geared towards educating and empowering women as well as providing resources to underserved communities .
I am the chair of the Population and Global Health Committee . I am passionate about serving the communities across the world that don ’ t have access and resources they need in order to survive . I want to be able to bring awareness to specific groups / issues during my time on the Board , while also giving members the freedom to find their own interest and passions . This is an opportunity for students to network and connect to bring awareness to a variety of health issues and inequalities .
This year the main goal of the Population and Global Health Committee is to empower and encourage our members to A . C . T . ( Advocate . Change . Teach .) on issues they feel passionate about . It has been a great opportunity for the committee to work with two nonprofits ( Shot @ Life & The Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments ) that have been doing great work , putting out great content to our members , and providing opportunities for students to get involved , so we can be a part of the change we want to see .
