Hi Brandi , My name is Andrew Rohrer , and I am the President of the California Nursing Student ’ s Association ( CNSA ), the largest state chapter of NSNA . I want to thank you , the NSNA Board , the ad hoc committee for releasing the statement in support of the Black Lives Matter campaign . Our state association also decided to release a statement of support for BLM that day , and we approved initiatives to sponsor seven student memberships with the National Black Nurses Association , provide funds to organizations , address health disparities experienced by POC and Black Communities , and we made a commitment to reevaluate our own policies . We believe that this is an important first step in standing for social justice , but further action must follow . I have since created a BLM Task Force to focus on the implementation of these initiatives once they were approved by our Board .
If there is anything that myself or our team at CNSA can do to support your efforts , please let me know .
We are proud to stand strong with you in support of the statement NSNA released .
