Civil engineering

Civil engineering is the discipline of professional engineering that employs knowledge of calculation, mechanics, hydraulics and physics to handle the design, construction and maintenance of the infrastructures located in the environment, including roads, railways, bridges, canals, dams, ports, airports, dikes and other related constructions. Traditionally it has been divided into several subdisciplines including environmental engineering, Civil Engineering in Agribusiness, sanitary engineering, geotechnical engineering, geophysics, geodesy, control engineering, structural engineering, mechanics, transportation engineering, Earth sciences, urban planning, land management, hydraulic engineering, materials science, coastal management,The civil engineer occupies positions at practically all levels: in the public sector from the municipal level to the government and in the private sphere from small autonomous consultants who organize at home to those hired in large international companies.

ACTIVITIES OF A CIVIL ENGINEERING

I wanted to write this post because there is a belief that these types of professionals are limited specifically to supervise works, however civil engineering is one of the most developed activities within a project, these are the most important:

4)Control

5)Supervise

This includes all processes that can be executed, applying technical knowledge, established in current regulations and all in compliance with the legal framework in the stipulated time. Any civil engineer must know how to draw up plans (using computer programs or drawing on paper) that can be transformed into the basis of projects such as buildings, homes, bridges and roads, as well as controls to define the design and sections of structural elements.
