WELCOME
From the President
It has been a tremendous honor and privilege to serve as President of the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many dedicated business owners, community leaders, non-profit organizations, and citizens who share a common commitment to making Suwannee County an exceptional place to live, work, and do business.
Our county continues to experience exciting growth and prosperity, and I believe that
success is a direct reflection of the people who call this community home. From our long-established businesses that have served generations of families to the new businesses and industries choosing to invest in Suwannee County, there is a spirit of optimism and opportunity throughout our community.
The Chamber has grown alongside our business community, strengthening its role as an advocate, resource, and connector for businesses throughout Suwannee County. That growth would not be possible without the continued support and involvement of our members, Board of Directors, Chamber staff, community partners, and volunteers. Their commitment of time, ideas, and resources allows the Chamber to continue building relationships, encouraging economic development, and creating opportunities for businesses of every size to succeed.
What makes Suwannee County special, however, goes beyond economic growth. It is the genuine sense of community that exists here. Our businesses support our schools, non-profits, civic organizations, families, and one another. When opportunities arise or challenges present themselves, this community consistently demonstrates its willingness to come together and move forward.
As I reflect on my time serving as President, I am proud of what we have accomplished and even more excited about what lies ahead. Suwannee County has tremendous potential, and with the continued cooperation of our businesses, community leaders, and citizens, I am confident that our best days are still ahead of us.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce and entrusted me with the opportunity to serve in this role. It has been an experience for which I will always be grateful.
Together, we will continue building a stronger Chamber, a thriving business community, and an even more prosperous Suwannee County.
Sincerely,
Julie Ulmer 2026 President, Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce
From the Executive Director
On behalf of the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful community! Nestled in beautiful North Florida, Suwannee County is a special place filled with strong community connections and true Southern hospitality. Since 1948, the Chamber has proudly served as an advocate and resource for our local businesses and community. We believe strong businesses create strong communities, and our mission is to connect, support, promote, and advocate for the businesses and organizations that help Suwannee County thrive. When I joined the Chamber family, I did not know what to expect. I had never been a part of a networking organization, let alone a Chamber of Commerce. I quickly learned the values the Chamber holds and the strong connections and bonds it builds that continue to transcend businesses to the next level. Through partnerships with our businesses, local governments, educational institutions, and community organizations, we work together to strengthen our economy and enhance the quality of life throughout Suwannee County.
From mix & mingles, ribbon cuttings, workshops, and business resources to signature events such as our Annual Golf Tournament
6 SUWANNEE CHAMBER IMPACT | 2026-2027 and Christmas on the Square Festival, the Chamber creates opportunities to connect, celebrate, and invest in our community. We are also proud to support the next generation through scholarships for graduates from Branford High, Suwannee High and RIVEROAK Technical College. We recognize and celebrate outstanding local businesses at our Annual Business of the Year Awards Dinner, while honoring exceptional individuals who make a lasting impact in Suwannee County with our Trailblazer and Citizen of the Year awards presented at our Annual Gala.

To those considering visiting, relocating, starting a business, or joining the Chamber, we invite you to discover all that Suwannee County has to offer. Our success in achieving our mission and purpose is due to a collaborative effort from the Chamber Board of Directors.
