Charissa Setzer, Economic Development Coordinator and chair of Visit Natural North Florida, is working alongside Norris, the Suwannee County Chamber and Shellie Phelps, on plans to revitalize downtown Live Oak. Phelps’ town of Wetumpka was featured on HGTV’ s“ Home Town Takeover” in 2020. Plans for the downtown revitalization effort are expected to begin taking shape later this year.
Together, these efforts are helping shape Suwannee County’ s next chapter— one that brings new businesses, visitors and opportunities while building on what already makes the community unique. And as economic development and tourism continue to grow alongside one another, the county is positioning itself for an even bigger future.
