Fireworks for the Fourth

Celebrating the 4th of July in Branford

Linked to the imagery of dazzling fireworks , a red , white and blue color scheme and – with any luck – plenty of sunshine , the Fourth of July is the epitome of summertime and every year with the combined efforts of the Branford Florida River Reunion and the Rotary Club of Branford , the town of Branford strives to make their Independence Day celebration a night like no other .

For 2022 , Branford ’ s holiday festivities kick off at noon with the registration and lineup of automotives for the judged Rod Run car show at the Greenway . Once 2 o ’ clock rolls around , the Rotary Duck race begins with a waterfall of rubber ducks cascading into the Suwannee River and floating to the finish line at Ivey Park at Branford Springs . The annual race is one of two major fundraisers hosted by the Rotary Club of Branford and it ’ s certainly the most unique . Money raised from the sale of each rubber ducky entry goes to support the charitable efforts the club puts on throughout the year like Dads and Donuts , StoryWalk at the Greenway , Take Stock in Children , Valentine ’ s for Veterans and so much more .
Coinciding with the duck race , the Greenway is set to welcome an eager crowd with the National Anthem and an honor guard performance before more than five dozen vendors open for business . Up from just 17 vendors in 2021 , the 2022 event is set to have over 70 vendors featuring an assortment of mouthwatering food like pulled
