From the President
It has been a great honor to serve as your 2022 Chamber of Commerce President alongside our dedicated Board of Directors and Chamber Staff , Executive Director Hillary Cannon and Administrative Assistant Danielle Hampton . We are committed to leading a Chamber that actively represents the business community as a trusted and effective advocate for small businesses , family businesses and large businesses , alike .
The Chamber understands that in order to have a strong economic environment we must also have a strong community . We are truly blessed to have leaders , business owners , educators and citizens who realize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and happiness within our community . This enables us to help people in a way we couldn ’ t as individuals .
It ’ s is an exciting time to be a member of the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce ! Our networking and promotional opportunities help our members succeed and grow through The Chamber ’ s directory , advertising on our website , Mix and Mingles and ribbon cuttings . Other great annual events include Christmas on the Square , Leadership Suwannee , Business of the Year Banquet , The Chamber Gala , scholarships awarded to local high school students , and our newest event The Chamber ’ s Annual Golf Tournament . These events would not be possible without the support of each and every one of our members as well as the volunteers who give so freely of their time in order to make Suwannee County a great place to live .
2023 is just around the corner and The Chamber will continue to strive for growth and prosperity for Suwannee County and its citizens . The Board of Directors as well as myself would like to thank our members for their continued support of the Suwannee County Chamber . On behalf of the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce , I would like to welcome you to our town . Suwannee County is an outstanding place to live , work , and grow a business . Whether you ’ re visiting for the day , looking for a new place to call home , or you ’ re already a resident of our thriving community , Suwannee County is a quaint community with a big heart and plenty of opportunities . Our rich history dates back to 1878 , and the Chamber was established in 1948 to advocate for and support the prosperity of Suwannee County and its area businesses .
It is an exciting time to be a member of the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce . We are always creating new networking and promotional opportunities to help our member businesses succeed and grow , including space to advertise on the Chamber website , business referrals , monthly networking opportunities , and continuing education . Other great events that allow our member businesses to gain visibility include Leadership Suwannee , Mix and
Mingles , The Chamber Gala , Christmas on the Square , and Impact Magazine .
We continue to partner with local government and other organizations to pursue improvements in the overall quality of life for the city , county , and region , particularly in the areas of transportation , education , healthcare , tourism , economic development , community development , and workforce development . Our success in achieving our mission and purpose is due to a collaborative effort from the Chamber Board of Directors . The Chamber is very fortunate to have a wide ranging , diverse and community minded group of individuals , who ’ s mission is to help our businesses succeed . Each and every one of them volunteer their time to help serve you and to help provided the tools necessary to grow your business .
To our current Chamber members , thank you for your continued support .
