PCER Partners:
PCER is a local partnership project
funded by Big Lottery to provide
welfare and energy advice to tenants
of Barrhead and Arklet Housing
Associations. Over the course of the
project, staff have provided a range
of support services for tenants,
particularly those who are struggling
on low incomes and are affected by
the impact of Welfare Reform.

HERO Project
CAB’s Helping East Renfrewshire
Online (HERO) project offers help
and support to individuals in East
Ren with online benefit claims,
job searches etc. with a particular
focus on reducing barriers to using
computers.
ER Citizens Advice Bureau
East Renfrewshire CAB is part of the
largest independent advice network
in Scotland. The local office has a
team of 40 volunteers. Together
with the team of paid staff they
offer advice to local residents on
specialist issues such as Welfare
Rights, Housing, Employment Rights,
Money Advice, and more.
Volunteer-run drop-in sessions help
clients to use Universal Credit.
Most of the supported clients
have successfully avoided benefit
sanctions.
