PRODUCTIVITY
ClimateWorks’ research in 2013 identified that
improving energy productivity could increase the
overall productivity of Australia’s economy while at
the same the same time, it could also substantially
reduce carbon emissions. During 2014, ClimateWorks
contributed to the G20 Energy Sustainability Working
Group, launched the Energy Management and
Company Competitiveness report, was invited to join
the Department of Industry’s expert panel for the
Energy White Paper and tendered a submission to the
Government’s Energy Green Paper, recommending
energy productivity be considered as part of
Australia’s transition to a low carbon economy.
