EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
Hartland Community 4 Youth and Families is providing programming that creates opportunities for service and leadership for some of Salt Lake County’ s most at-risk and underserved youth. The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation provided a $ 15,000 grant, which funded a series of six community-led clean up efforts of the Jordan River Trail system, which runs through several of Salt Lake City’ s westside neighborhoods. The clean up efforts were led by youth, fostering both environmental stewardship and leadership skills.
