LATINOS IN ACTION
Latinos in Action strives to empower Latino youth to lead and strengthen their communities through culturally responsive skills for learning and life , college and career readiness , and leadership development . The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation provided $ 120,000 in funding for new programs focused on creating a Latino pipeline for careers in STEM and healthcare . The program includes courses for Latinos in Action high school students to help teach STEM to K-5 students through weekly tutoring . Latinos in Action supports students on the west side of Salt Lake City and throughout the state .
