SHELTER AND FOOD SECURITY
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUPPORT
Domestic violence affects every community and impacts individuals from all walks of life . Service providers throughout Utah work tirelessly to offer comprehensive , trauma-informed advocacy , mental health and housing services to those affected by domestic violence . The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation donated over $ 1 million to various organizations to support emergency services in rural and city areas , affordable housing initiatives and more for domestic violence survivors .
The Utah Domestic Violence Coalition ’ s ( UDVC ) HomeSafe Program , provides short-term financial assistance for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence . Each survivor that participated in this program received a small grant of $ 500- $ 1,500 for assistance towards rent , car payments or childcare .
Organizations Supported in 2023 : UDVC , YWCA Utah , YCC Family Crisis Center , Safe Harbor , The Refuge , Peace House , South Valley Services , Dove Center , and Fight Against Domestic Violence .
