Climate change training in Afghanistan | 2023
The environmentally fragile areas where CAI has long focused its programs are among some of the most vulnerable in the world to the changing climate . In 2023 , CAI ’ s partners piloted programs to increase knowledge among students , teachers , and communities of environmental conservation and climate change adaptation . In Afghanistan , over 3,000 teachers and students received climate education booklets . In Pakistan , 1,117 students participated in an environmental awareness program that focused on water conservation and prevention of soil erosion , including a tree-planting activity .
