SHOWS & EVENTS
At our KeHE Shows, we are improving our waste solutions! Compost and
recycling bins were added to the show floors, as well as, serve ware that was
compostable. Venues for the event were chosen with LEED certifications. KeHE
works with a local food bank to donate any extra food samples from suppliers.
The Music City Center supports and encourages sustainable practices at all events.
Conservation, energy efficiency, and waste reduction are high priorities and are a part
of our mission to focus on environmental sustainability. The following report highlights the
estimated impact from the days of your event. Thank you for your help in continuing
sustainability efforts at Music City Center!
SOLAR POWER
The MCC is committed to producing renewable
energy through the 845 solar panel array
above the Grand Ballroom. All of the sun-
powered energy produced is used onsite!
2,446 kWh
was produced by solar power, supporting your
energy needs during the event!
RAINWATER
Rain filters through the plants on our Green
Roof into a 360,000 gallon underground
cistern and is then pumped throughout the
MCC. Reusing collected rainwater from Green
Roof and our HVAC systems reduces our total
municipal water usage.
59% of the total water usage came from rainwater! Our rainwater
collection system helps divert storm water runoff from reaching our
local bodies of water.
WASTE DIVERSION
The MCC encourages everyone to take part in
reducing how much waste is sent to the
landfill.
2,700 pounds was recycled! Our single stream
recycling program is the beginning step to repurposing materials
into new products.
1,070 pounds was composted! We divert food waste
from landfills to create high quality soil amendments and reduce
greenhouse gases.

COMMUNITY
We are proud to work with local and regional
food providers for our catering services. We
also donate regularly to schools and non-
profits in the area. Thank you for coordinating
a donation with our local food banks! In
addition to that donation, the following was
also given:
5,000 pounds of leftover food good was picked up by One
Gen Away to distribute to families throughout Middle Tennessee!
115 pounds of compostable serving ware was donated to the
Hospitality House and Memorial Hope Lodge to assist families needing a
home away from home while their loved ones are in the hospital.
