SGT PARRISH SMITH TRANSITIONAL CENTER
Sergeant ( Sgt ) Parrish joined the agency eight years ago at Smith Transitional Center ( TC ). Parrish is punctual , hardworking , and continually demonstrates professionalism . Sgt Parrish is always willing to continue her professional development by learning new tasks and skills . Parrish was extremely instrumental in the success of Smith TC ’ s ACA accreditation audit , where the Center earned a 100 % compliant .
CO JACKSON PHILLIPS TRANSITIONAL CENTER
In April 2013 , Correctional Officer ( CO ) Jackson started his career with the Georgia Department of Corrections ( GDC ) at Phillips Transitional Center . Recently , CO Jackson noticed a resident was having difficulty breathing and then collapsed onto the floor . Jackson immediately began chest compression and advised others at the scene to contact 911 . He continued CPR until emergency medical services arrived . CO Jackson remained calm and displayed professionalism while upholding the GDCs mission and values .
