LT LORI PARKER DOOLY STATE PRISON
Lieutenant ( Lt .) Parker began her employment at Dooly State Prison in April 2001 as a Correctional Officer . In 2019 , she was promoted to Sgt ., working as a Portal Sgt , and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2020 .
Lt . Parker exudes admirable traits of communicating effectively , has a team-player mindset , can work with minimal supervision , and an unwavering commitment to exceeding expectations . Lt . Parker is a hardworking , top-performing correctional officer and has been instrumental in apprehending contraband and preventing it from entering the institution on numerous occasions .
In March 2021 , Lt . Parker observed an offender walking across the facility . As she approached him and attempted to search him , he took off running and threw two vacuumed sealed bags of marijuana on the sidewalk , which contained marijuana .
SGT JAMES WOLFE LONG UNIT
Sergeant ( Sgt .) Wolfe has been a dedicated employee with the Georgia Department of Corrections ( GDC ) for 18 years . Sgt . Wolfe exemplifies the values of being helpful , courteous , responsible , and knowledgeable concerning all security duties while willingly training staff to be professional and courteous to all they met .
Sgt . Wolfe is highly valued by his peers and appreciated by his supervisors because of how he interacts with staff and offenders alike . Each day he completes daily tasks while volunteering his services and wealth of knowledge and experience to a broad range of issues .
In February 2021 , the Long Unit lost a fellow Correctional Officer , Officer Dart . Sgt Wolfe took it upon himself to ensure Officer Darts ’ wife did not have to worry about everyday business . He ran all of Mrs . Dart ’ s errands , assisted her with funeral arrangements , and performed maintenance on her home . Sgt . Wolfe ’ s selfless service , dedication , and courage encompass the GDC ’ s values and mission .
