With a high school equivalency diploma and vocational certificate in hand, the offenders at Central State Prison who graduated from the programs, are setting themselves up for advancement in life.

“In the past, a lot of our bad decisions came from not having better opportunities. But with a GED we have given ourselves a key. A key to many opportunities and that we continue to progress as individuals. Use this GED to earn a trade, continue your education and keep you from making the same mistakes that sent you prison. I encourage all my fellow graduates to take what we’ve learned here today and continue to strive for more,” explained an offender speaking at the graduation.
