IMPACT GEORGIA MAGAZINE OFFICER FIELDS Macon State Prison Officer Fields has been a dedicated employee to the Georgia Department of Corrections for over twenty-two years, and currently works at Macon State Prison. Recently, she noticed an individual near the perimeter fence throwing contraband over, and immediately notified the perimeter vehicle officer to respond. Officer Fields also noticed that there were two offenders on the opposite side of the fence in the same area. When the perimeter vehicle officer responded two duffel bags were located, and a net- bag with five bundles of contraband. Thanks to Officer Fields’ attention to detail and persistence, contraband was prevented from entering the facility. OFFICER STALVEY Valdosta State Prison 16 Officer Stalvey has been employed at Valdosta State Prison since May 2018. Since beginning his career, he has shown an impeccable attention to detail and a willingness to perform his assigned duties. While working as an outside detail officer, he has discovered and prevented 1020 grams of tobacco, 38 grams of marijuana, 2 rolls of electrical tape, 1 cigarette lighter, 89 pills suspected of MDMA, 5 pills identified as Amphetamine-Dextroamphetamine, 28 packs of rolling paper, and 5 cigars from entering the facility. Thanks to his dedication he has prevented contraband from coming into the facility and assisted in providing a safer and more secure environment for the community, the inmate population and the employees of Valdosta State Prison.
