Sergeant (Sgt.) Smith currently works at Georgia State Prison as the back-gate supervisor. She ensures that details are processed in and out in a timely manner, and that all offenders are properly identified daily.
Sgt. Smith works hard to ensure that proper shake downs are conducted by her staff, on offenders working outside the gate, to minimize the introduction of contraband into the facility. While working visitation on various occasions, she has been instrumental in detecting contraband on visitors which resulted in visitors being arrested.
Her attention to detail is exemplary and she is an asset not only to Georgia State Prison but the Department of Corrections as a whole.
