BEYOND THE CALL
Jeromy Calloway began his career with Georgia Correctional Industries in August 2016 as a Plant Operator 3 position at Rogers Dairy Operations. Jeromy came to GCI with a background in farming, and immediately took it upon himself to learn all he could from his supervisor. His shift began at 4:30 A.M. each day, and he worked many long hours learning how to operate all the equipment at the dairy farm and taught himself how to repair the equipment.
In late 2018, Jeromy was thrust into an unfamiliar position as the Plant Operator Supervisor where he hit the ground running and took complete ownership of his new position and the new responsibilities that came along with it. Jeromy gained the respect of his fellow co-workers, and has grown into his management position since accepting the job as Plant Operator Supervisor.
Under Jeromy’s supervision, Rogers Dairy Operations process an average of 25,000 gallons of raw milk and more than 1.6 million ½ pint cartons of milk each month. The ½ pint cartons of low fat chocolate, 2% white, and skim milk all proudly carry the Georgia Grown® label. The annual processing of approximately 20 million ½ pints of milk and 300,000 gallons of raw milk realize tremendous tax savings for Georgia and is vital to GCI’s mission. We are very proud to have someone with Jeromy’s knowledge and skills overseeing this operation.
GCI is fortunate to have such a
dedicated employee that takes pride
in his work, and performs his job skills
in the most excellent manner.
