When I connected with Katerina for this story, much to my
dismay, she was in the emergency room! But being the savvy
business woman she is, she seized the opportunity and allowed
me to select a few of my very favorites from her new 2013
collection. What fun!!
Impact Detroit Magazine features just a few of my favorites
from Albanian-born Katerina Bocci 2013 luxury bridal gown
collection in our June/July Roland Martin issue.
As an award-winning designer based in Michigan, her couture
designs are known for acquiring international acclaim among
fashion elite and celebrities, including Aretha Franklin, Fergie
and Jordin Sparks. Katerina Bocci launched her 2013 luxury
bridal gown collection at New York Bridal Fashion Week
in Oct. 13-15, 2012 at the Couture Show. The Couture Show
took place at the Hilton New York Hotel.
Bocci came to America in 2001 and quickly became recognized
for her one-of-a-kind creations, building a faithful clientele and a
prospering business.
Since launching her successful couture eveningwear collection at
the 2007 Fashion Week in New York, Katerina Bocci is
expanding her profile with the launch of her premiere bridal
gown collection. The luxury bridal collection features exquisite
fabrics, hand-sewn craftsmanship and innovative, sophisticated
designs using 100-percent silk organza and tulle, hand-beaded
laces and rosettes, and Swarovski crystal trims and stones in an
array of colors.
Individuality is a key ingredient in Katerina Bocci bridal. From
bold, avant-garde gowns fit for black-tie affairs to sleek, classic
designs ideal for destination or outdoor weddings, Bocci’s
collection encompasses each bride’s unique wedding style.
“The first question I ask every bridal client is ‘describe the dress you dreamed of as a little girl,’” says Bocci. “I want to turn
fantasy into reality for these women. This is the gown they’ll remember forever.”
Bocci’s gowns are made in the USA and include eco-friendly materials, including 100-percent cotton for comfortable dress
liners.
Katerina Bocci’s gowns are designed, sewn and produced at her 3,200-square-foot design studio located in Shelby
Township, Michigan. The haute couture designer personally oversees the production of each and every gown to ensure the
utmost quality. Katerina Bocci bridal gowns start at $2,000.
Katerina Bocci Design Studio is open from Tuesday-Sunday at 14232 Rick Drive in Shelby Township
