We invite all grandparents (or special family members like Grand Aunts or Uncles) to visit their grandchild/special friend’s classrooms, participate in activities and enjoy a festive Christmas Assembly. Each year we celebrate and honour the school’s founder, Mr Edward Plunket Taylor (EP Taylor). The whole school community holds a special assembly to reflect upon the past and recognise the vision of the man who created all that we are able to experience as students and teachers today. Alumni parents and long-serving staff are recognized annually and this year, the assembly will include the 55th Anniversary celebrations. The premier fundraising even of the year held at the glamorous Old Fort Bay Club.Since it began in 2005, this annual event has raised over $8 million dollars and has enabled LCIS to improve the school in ways that would not have otherwise been possible. The event has become an integral binding in the fabric of the community - one of THE social events of the year -  and makes a significant difference in what can be accomplished at LCIS. The Swing for Scholarships is an semi-annual golf event, formatted as a four-person team scramble. Proceeds from team sponsorships go directly to supporting the Financial Aid and Scholarship Fund at LCIS. The Annual Fun Run is held on the Saturday after American Thanksgiving and brings students, faculty, parents, alumni and community friends together for a morning of fun, fitness and fundraising. This annual 5.5k run/walk has become an integral part of our philosophy of promoting lifelong fitness and school and community spirit.
