LCIS is a world-class , non-profit , international educational institution with a rich history of academic excellence and community spirit .
In the 60 years since our school was founded , we have established a strong tradition of philanthropic support from members of our school community , including parents , faculty and staff , grandparents , alumni , corporate partners and friends . This support has made a tremendous impact on what we have been able to achieve as a school over the years .
To date , the LCIS Fund , previously called the Annual Fund , has raised over $ 19 million toward enhancing our beloved school . As a non-profit institution , these gifts are vital and have supported many unique elements that make an LCIS education special for students who have attended throughout the years .
The three pillars of the LCIS Fund - scholarships , educational enhancements and capital improvements - have each received tremendous support from donors who believe in enhancing our school , not just for their own children , but also to create opportunities for more Bahamian children to receive a high-quality international education .
