It Takes a Community : A Letter from the Development Chair
Thank you to every parent , staff member , company , grandparent , alumni and friend for your support of LCIS last year . The generosity of our families and friends has been overwhelming , and I have never been prouder to be a part of the LCIS community . It was a year that continued to test our faculty , Administration , Board , parents and students like no other . Yet , through it all , we were united in ensuring that the mission of LCIS not only survives but thrives .
We are delighted that we were able to meet our goal of funding the Tuition Assistance Programme for the 2022-23 school year through your generous donations to the LCIS Annual Fund in 2020-21 . Having established the practice of fundraising for scholarships two years out , we have provided more stability and predictability to the programme , which has been advantageous during these uncertain times .
We reached our goal through direct approaches , a virtual Fun Run supported by many participants and corporate sponsors , as well as a successful online auction that included the much-loved “ flamingo flocking ”. We also held our 5th Swing for Scholarships golf event and our inaugural Rally for Scholarships tennis event , both of which were not only successful fundraisers but great community-building opportunities .
It takes a community to make a school successful . I am thankful for the strength of the LCIS community and your ongoing support of our vision . We look forward to your continued partnership in the years ahead .
