Thank You Campaign Donors Campaign Update: A New Chapter on the Horizon By Joanna Paul, Director of Development As we look forward to the anticipated opening of the Upper School campus in Fall 2020, it is exciting to begin imagining the students walking through the doorways and into state-of-the-art classrooms that we as a school have spent much time envisioning for our secondary learners. Purpose-built studios for the arts, brand-new science labs, a makerspace and well-equipped classrooms will help continue the high-quality work that our students and teachers take part in every day through our transformative International Baccalaureate education. While our first milestone for this new campus is on the horizon, our work towards achieving the complete master plan and strategic vision continues. Under the direction of new principal, Mr David Mindorff, the school and Board of Directors and Governors will focus on continued fundraising for the Upper School’s construction. We will also enhance the student experience on the new campus by developing facilities that will be used for sports, physical education classes and co-curriculars for students of all ages. Further development of the field, a track, cross-fit gym, swimming pool, multipurpose gymnasium and locker facilities are all part of this larger inspiring vision. As our quality academics, world-class campus and well-rounded programming continue to grow at LCIS, so will the opportunities for students. LCIS is committed to making these opportunities available to the wider community as we further expand our Financial Aid and Scholarships Endowment to support the long-term sustainability of the programme and diversity of our student body. With the recent doubling of our endowment, we are proud to know that our community also finds this endeavour important and is committed to the development of the nation through exceptional education opportunities for young people. We are so grateful for all the members of our community who have played various roles and contributed significantly to bring us to this point. We are so blessed to have the wide-ranging support of grandparents, parents, alumni families, corporate partners, the government and many neighbours without whom this project would not have been possible. Thank you once again to everyone who has made this project possible and we look forward to celebrating this momentous accomplishment with you in the year ahead as we launch this next chapter for LCIS. Your generous leadership has made this project possible. Thank you to all parents, grandparents, staff, corporate citizens, neighbours and government partners for your gifts and support. This donor listing is cumulative for the to full period of the campaign through to the close of the last fiscal year on 31 July 2019. It recognises any commitments to the Endowment for Financial Aid and Scholarships or to the Master Plan for the Upper and Lower Schools.
