EVALUATION

Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed completing this project. There were times where things were not going how I wanted them too and I felt the pressure of this and things did become quite frustrating. Although my journey through this project was a whirlwind of different emotions I have benefited from it by gaining new knowledge within the fashion industry and have learnt a variety of new skills online which will benefit me in the future when completing oncoming projects. I chose my celebrity Kady McDermott as I felt like she suited the brand well and her fame and social media following is only increasing. I knew I wouldn’t get bored if I chose her as my celebrity as I enjoy watching her videos and keeping up to date with her social media pages. I knew that with her fan base this collaboration would work well together and be a clever idea.

I think what I did well was making my Joomag look like a real magazine, I wanted to make it look professional which is why I looked at other magazine layouts such as ELLE and Vogue. I noticed that a lot of magazines at the moment are quite visual so I tried to include a wide range of different images, ones taken by me and ones taken from the internet. I also am really proud of my photoshoots, I put a great amount of effort in learning how to use Photoshop and I feel that the final results looked professional and like they actually could be an ad for Lipsy London. I decided to choose two different models with different features such as hair colour and eye colour as I wanted to represent how these clothes suit everyone and highlight what Lipsy London say about wanting all their customers to feel beautiful in their own skin. I was glad that I owned clothes from previous Lipsy collaborations and could use them in my work as research and to develop an understanding of the style and themes within the brand.
