theory; check them out. In the
meantime, here are some general rules:
If you are over 30, forget about
neon's close to your face. They
will make your skin look muddy.
If you love a color but you think
you cannot wear it, try several
different shades. A good way to
do this is to try on scarves in different shades of the same color.
Maybe you CAN wear purple.
If a color always makes you feel
beautiful and you always get
compliments when you wear it,
do not worry about what the experts say, pro or con. Just wear
it!
You are never too old to wear
beautiful colors. As we age, our
skin tone softens so remember to
soften your color palette. For example, try going from purple to
lavender. My mother-in-law is
nearly 80 and she always looks
beautiful in soft, deep pastels.
Color will make you stand out
in a crowd or recede into the
background; it is your choice. It
does not matter if you are a perfect size 5 or a voluptuous 26. It
does not matter if you are 18 or a
youthful 85; use color to show
the world what a fascinating person you are and use it to make
yourself feel beautiful. Why go
around feeling drab when you
can shine?
