e’re talking about the
media. So let’s be
honest. Objectivity in the
mainstream is laughable.
I know it. You know it.
We all do. As an institution designed to be
the voice of the people, and a watchdog
for public interest, the idea of impartial
journalism appears to be a fantasy. So,
where does this leave the masses?
As with all things, the best place to start
is usually at the beginning. In the field of
journalism, all you need to understand is
that unlike doctors, judges or electrical
engineers - we are not members of a true
professional class. There's no real “special”
training or knowledge required.
