ashion is arguably one of the most
difficult businesses to get into model, stylist or the be all and
end all fashion designer. There are
many talented examples out there. But
besides perseverance, one of the things that
distinguish those who make it and those
who don’t is the ability to network. Shake
hands, spill drinks, laugh and connect.
It’s called networking for a reason. So just
to get you started, here are a few ideas to
fuel your fashion career into overdrive!

Fashion Shows
The most obvious and equally daunting of the
networking platforms, attended by, well, people
who are interested in fashion. Before every
seasonal change, African Fashion International
brings Mercedez Benz Fashion Week to South
Africa. From the 5th – 7th of March 2015,
Johannesburg will host this auspicious event.
