courting used to be about
two people who simply like
each other. Our expectations
have literally taken a 90 degree turn.
In my opinion, dating was much
more efficient in the good old days.
As the expectation was to find a life
partner, someone to spend those cold
nights cuddled close as you talk about
all sorts of things.Yes, some think
that the traditional ways of dating
have become a bit boring – and this
is where social media comes in.

people would post almost everything
about their lives, even their love life
and daily activities in the pursuit of
followers and hundreds if not thousands
of likes. in chronological order came
platforms like Twitter and Instagram.

expectations about relationships.

realise it or not, is due to what we see
being done on social media. Things
like Man Crush Monday or Woman
Crush Wednesday has us engraving
This has become the place whe re we the idea of the perfect partner into
share every part of our life, even special our hearts and minds. And most of the
aspects of personal relationships.
time this is all quite idealistic.
