times the winner is defined just in which team catches the snitch. The beaters don’t use a bat to throw the bludgers on people. And, of course, the brooms don’t fly (unfortunately). With those adaptations, anyone can play the game, including kids. These rules were made by the United States Quidditch (USQ) league. The league and the adaptations were created by the freshman Xander Manshel at Middlebury College in 2005. The USQ also have no problem to divulgate their manual to any other league who participates on the International Quidditch League.

In her books, J.K. Rowling clears specifically that Quidditch doesn’t have gender distinct, that means that men and women can play together with no problem. So, the USQ created the Title 9 ¾ (this is the number of the station where Harry catches the Hogwarts Express). This title specific says that a person should play with any identify gender and the sex is not consider. That’s why the US league created the “Four-Maximum Rule”: “A quidditch game requires each team to have a maximum of four players who identify as the same gender, excluding the seeker. The gender that a player identifies with is considered to be that player’s gender, which may or may not be the same as that person’s sex. This is commonly referred to as the “four maximum” rule.” (Rulebook 8 Section 1.5). Until now, they already have 8 Rulebooks, which also contains strategies, judge functions and punishments, etc.
