This month the MRI team reflected on what we are thankful for, and most of the MRI team members mentioned their coworkers. The MRI team is truly a close knit family, even though we are spread out across the hospital campus and imaging sites. One fellow technologist that always is remembered for being a great coworker, and friend to all, was Trisha Bayles. Trisha was an MRI technologist that we lost very suddenly this past year. She was devoted in her career with Hopkins for over 13 years, and was an amazing co-worker, with whom we all enjoyed working with. When Trisha had downtime between taking care of patients, she would be found mopping floors, cleaning and stocking rooms, or helping out in any way she could. Trisha lived a beautiful life! Her contagious smile, laugh, and silly sayings "Trish-isms" are remembered fondly and talked about often! Trisha's life and story remind us all to live life to the fullest, take that trip, eat the cake, and cheer loudly for your favorite team, whether it be professional hockey or football, or an amazing group of co-workers who lift and empower each other every single day! Trisha-we hope we are making you proud!
Zayed 4th floor created a “Thankful Board” to recognize each other. In addition, each member of the entire MRI department wrote what they are thankful for on a leaf, and each are displayed on the board. Here are some of the quotes from our team:
“I am thankful for good health, family and friends! I am also very thankful for being able to work here in the MRI Department on Zayed 4th floor. I have met some amazing people! I am thankful for the warm welcome I have received as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in this profession every day!“
“I am thankful to be a part of a team that excels in Service Excellence. I'm thankful to be a Johns Hopkins MRI technologist.”
“I look forward to seeing the JHOC crew every day. There is such a camaraderie and sense of family, that it brings me special joy.”
"I am thankful to have found an extended family among my coworkers. I came to Baltimore 13 years ago, leaving family in the Midwest, hoping to learn and gain experience as an MRI technologist at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. It didn't take long to realize that I had gained so much more! I feel truly blessed to be working with some of the most amazing MRI technologists, who have become my family, and have been a part of many cherished memories."
“I am thankful for my family, our health, and my friends. I am also thankful for the amazing co-workers that I work with every day. Our MRI team is truly the best of the best. The technologist are dedicated to providing excellent patient care and obtaining the best studies possible. There is always someone willing to jump in and help out in any way they can. I consider many of my co-workers to be my friend inside and outside of work, we are a close knit family. I proud to be an MRI technologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital.”
