MeiTeng installation at Usukhzoos CHPP, South Gobi, Mongolia
MeiTeng systems at Weijiamao CHPP expansion, Inner Mongolia, China
performance demonstrated and validated through extensive industrial applications.
Its performance is proven at an industrial scale. At Usukhzoos CHPP in Mongolia’ s South Gobi, a 1.5 Mt / y operation is processing 25-200 mm coal with the TDS ® and 3-25 mm coal with the TGS ®. The calorific value increased by up to 2,200 kcal / kg; with ash reduction of over 25 %.
A second case is for the Weijiamao CHPP expansion in Inner Mongolia, China where a 15 Mt / y operation is using four twin type TDS ®( three-product) units to process 50-300 mm coal with the TDS ® and 13- 50 mm coal with a dense-medium vessel; the TDS ® capacity is up to 300 t / h per unit. The calorific value of the clean coal consistently exceeds 5,000 kcal / kg, while reject is controlled at around 600 kcal / kg.
Meeting Australia’ s safety, technical and environmental requirements
Following the signing of MeiTeng’ s first TDS ® project contract in the Gunnedah Coal Basin NSW, both TDS ® and TGS ® have fully met relevant Australian mine-site safety, technical and environmental requirements. The equipment has also successfully completed local customer compliance reviews.
Built under a robust, heavy-duty and highly controlled manufacturing system, the equipment is designed for demanding Australian mining conditions, achieving overall availability of more than 90 %. This local compliance, engineering and quality improvements provide a strong foundation for the broader adoption of MeiTeng’ s intelligent dry sorting equipment in Australia.
Key applications of MeiTeng’ s Dry Separation Dream Plant for the Australian coal industry
The list of potential applications for MeiTeng dry separation technologies includes thermal coal full-size processes, coking coal deshaling, new CHPP development, existing plant expansions, wet plant upgrades, in-pit & underground destoning, contaminated or low-quality coal recovery, legacy tailings recovery plus port and rail-yard processing. The systems can be mobile and modular.
Full life-cycle localised technical support and services in Australia
Australia is a key market in MeiTeng’ s global strategy. Recognising that local support is as important as the equipment itself, MeiTeng has built a local service network covering the full lifecycle, from pre-sales consultation to after-sales support, helping support efficient project delivery and reliable longterm operation.
This includes its Hunter Valley test centre & spare parts warehouse in Beresfield. The facility provides project assessment, ROM coal testing, sorting process analysis and equipment demonstrations. It also stocks spare parts locally and provides logistics and technical support for efficient maintenance and operation.
Meiteng Technology works in partnership with AABRA Mineral Processing Technology to deliver local sales, engineering and aftersales service support to customers across the Australian mining industry.
“ The partnership combines Meiteng’ s proven equipment and technology with AABRA’ s local market knowledge, technical expertise and industry relationships, providing customers with reliable, responsive and practical solutions from initial enquiry through to installation, commissioning and ongoing equipment support,” says Brad Pringle Director of Business Development at AABRA Mineral Processing Technology.
A new generation of intelligent dry sorting Is transforming Australia’ s coal preparation industry
“ Driving innovation and creating lasting value for stakeholders and society” has always been part of MeiTeng’ s vision. After more than a decade of R & D, optimisation and global field validation, the TDS ® + TGS ®‘ Dry Separation Dream Plant’ has emerged as a new-generation solution for intelligent dry coal sorting. Proven across diverse and challenging conditions, the system offers demonstrated performance in process efficiency, feed adaptability, equipment reliability and overall system stability.
The new generation of intelligent dry sorting is being increasingly considered by Australian coal producers seeking alternative processing solutions, helping drive the industry towards simpler processes, lower costs and more resource-efficient operations.
